Husband & Wife team, Lamar & Jessica Hanna, graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. They came out of their studies eager to practice pharmacy the way it was MEANT to be. It was their dream to have their own pharmacy where the patients were the main focus, where they would walk through the door and feel like family. They wanted their patients to feel like they were the only ones under their care - instead of feeling like "just a number" (a feeling many get at those big box chainstores).
Jessica and Lamar fell in love with the city of Sarnia and wanted to contribute something positive to the community by opening up a local, family owned pharmacy that strives to serve the public first, and be a business second. By creating local jobs after Zellers had closed and giving back to local charities, they share a philosphy that we have only one life to GIVE - and they want to show their patients that they truly care.
Jessica and Lamar continue to strive to be leaders in their field by always continuing to educate themselves regarding all of the new and exciting advances that are occuring in healthcare today.
Jessica keeps up with her love for teaching by partnering with the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Wayne State University to teach Men's health to the pharmacy students annually. She has also taught the Pharmacy Practice course locally at Lambton College to Pharmacy Technicians within the area. Jessica was also published in a well known medical journal due to some of her findings in regards to cholesterol medications and presented these findings at several continuing education events to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Lamar has been a leader in the pharmacy community by becoming CPR/First Aid INSTRUCTOR certified by the American Heart Association - This means he has taught hundreds of Wayne State pharmacy students and pharmacists how to perform CPR and life saving First Aid. He was the Regeant of his Pharmacy Professional Fraternity and as an alumni, he remains active in the Wayne State Community with several of their events.
With CPR, First-Aid and Immunization Certifications, as well as attaining a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, Jessica and Lamar continue to better themselves in their field so that their patients have access to the most up-to-date premium healthcare.
